A Gas Tax Holiday is opposite of what we need

Comments

Things like a 'gas tax holiday' just appeal to the stupid and naive as they drive away in their Hummers.

One need look no farther than India's Tata motors and China's nouveau 'riche' to see that the global proliferation of automobiles in what have been historically agrarian, subsistence-level economies to realize that there's not a goddamn thing this country can do to quench the global demand for oil.

Once upon a time I used to like John McCain. He was kind of an independent thinker, and although he didn't always espouse my own beliefs, I felt I knew where he was coming. It seems as if in the last seven or so years, he's devolved into a caricature, devoid of any redeeming qualities. Damn shame really.
